GROANING BONES|| A poem by Oladoyin Micheal-Prof. Mike Breeze

Share:

When the sun hid,
And the moon tuned
The cocks to bid
Goodbye so soon,

The moon turned red
On the faces
That saw and read
The smoke of phases.

Then they all came
To rape us all,
Shaming the fame
Of niggers to stupor.

With cart they cart
Our poles and farmhands,
Land, shark and land
With gun not tact!

When the sun hid,
And the moon tuned
The cocks to bid
Goodbye so soon,

Favour turned sour as
Mantles' fury pour
Like gas on faces
Who placed 'em in places.

Our we became theirs,
Old cheers became jeers
On our faces by seats
Eating us like meats.

Our right turned our plight
Yet we dare not fight,
Who..oa! We groan in pain,
But we're termed insane.

When the sun hid,
And the moon tuned
The cocks to bid
Goodbye so soon,

I smirked the slut
Seducing men
To the devil's plot,
In ink, quill and leaf.
