DEDICATION
This play is dedicated to my Parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oladoyin who with their heartbeat guide me to the right path of life.

(Act I Scene 1)
(In a 6ft by 7ft room, there are two half inch mattresses placed on the side facing the door; at the exterior of the right side is a table with books and a chair well arranged close to the wall socket. At the left side of the room is a shoe rack and wall hanger hung at the very side of the double-face window. The red rug on the floor complements the cream painted wall. The spotlights comes on to show two cousins discussing)
Mary: (faces him) News writing class was interesting but that Lib 111! (Sighs deeply)
Elijah: wait a minute! It’s that not the course Peller said carries zero unit?
Mary: exactly! Could you believe the woman read out notes for a whole two hours without even explaining just a sentence of the epistle? In fact after the class, I had to rest at Ascom garden before coming home. What about you, how was the class?
Elijah: (putting off his socks) class? It is not really a class, it’s an orchestra session. It was wonderful, just that the series of rehearsals we had were irksome.
Mary: awwn! No wonder you forgot to remove your saxophone strap from your neck (laughs)
Elijah: (touches his neck to confirm) naughty you! At least my school is better than yours.
Mary: there we go again! “The first and the best” tag line
Elijah: That’s because it is! Unlike your school ‘The Polystressnic Ijogbon(all laughs)
Mary: (feigns anger) hello! The name of my institution is ‘The Polytechnic Ibadan’ and for your information, our motto is ‘Ise loogun Ise
(Elijah’s phone rings and put their conversation to and end)
Elijah: (receives call) hello…yeah! na Elijah be this, ehn?..(Gasps) Una say wetin? Today?... na group assignment na..(Exclaims) what! If we no submit ‘am today e no go collect ‘am again… I dey come now now, thanks bro (ends call and soliloquizes) music department, here we dine and die! I’ll be right back pal.
(He rushes out wearing his leather sandal. Peller, a UI Communication and Language Arts student who live in the next street to the neighbourhood at this same time decides to visit Elijah in his room.)
Peller: (knocks) shalom Aleichem! Is Elijah around?
Mary: Come in, the door is not locked (as Peller enters) so you are the one spraying Hebrew bullets here. Well, Elijah is not around.
Peller: (gives his Mr. Cool smile that shows his set of white teeth) that’s far too less a greeting for this paragon of beauty I am lucky to behold. When he comes back, tell him I asked after him.
(As he turns to leave, the spotlights gradually fade out)
(Light fades)
