THE QUILL || A Poem written by Nafiu Sulikifili- Don Skillful Lee

THE QUILL
Solely dovely lovely
Is that folk tail of scribes
Far, near and beyond,
'Tis a mountain to arthritics.

The quill weigh so so much
Yet drums silence when it
Falls lightening and thunder,
It lives with the blood of ink.

It holds the past present
In the encrypted inked leaves,
It holds the key to the future
Engraved and caved in scribes.

'Tis a full ammo,
Mightier than a sword,
Medicinal yet poisonous
To make or mar its virtuoso.

The quill quells quickly
The universe of brigands,
It is a confuria fire;
Power of the saviour and helpless.

'Tis like an Ox,
Painting the earth
With cartful feels
Of crafty imageries.

The quill signs and sighs deep;
"What does the future holds?
What text is left untold?
Perhaps the need for freedom. "

The quill is cute,
So is the quilled hearts;
The quill is a seer,
So are the writers.
