(Act
IV Scene 2)
(Bodija
road, Mustapha and his girlfriend, Aishat are seen going towards Neptune lounge
holding hands)
Aishat:
Abdul-mustoph, you haven’t given me the list of what we’re to market to buy, it
is advisable to make a list you know.
Mustapha:
(sighs) it’s not easy to understand
Economists. They economize everything in this world. Well madam, we’re not
going to the market, we’re going for dinner at Neptune lounge.
Aishat:
oh God! But we have to start saving now for our future.
Mustapha:
I know babe, but it’s pertinent for me to treat this gorgeous damsel to dinner
today (he caresses her succulent cheek)
Aishat:
(smiles) hmm, I love you darling.
Thank you so much.
(Mustapha starts to
sing Tuface’s African queen)
And you are my African Queen, the girl of my
dreams.
You take me where I've never been
You make my heart go ting-a-ling-a-ling, oh
ahh
You are my African Queen, the girl of my
dreams
And you remind me of a thing
And that is the African… Mary!
Aishat:
(confused) Mary as how? Am I not the
one you’re singing for?
Mustapha: look at that
gate (he points towards Neptune lounge
gate where Mary is seen wrapped in Peller’s arm)
Aishat:
(nonchalantly) and so? How’s that
your business? C’mon lets go.
Mustapha:
where you go I’ll go your royal highness!
(They
both laugh and walk towards the lounge. As they are going, they meet Peller and
Mary on their way, Mustapha nods and smile at them)
(Lights
fade)
